Privacy policy

Last Updated: 17 October, 2026

FZN Printing Co. (“Company”, “FZN Printing Co.”, “we”, “our”, and “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect personal information when you visit our website, request a quote, place an order, communicate with us, or otherwise use our products and services.

This Privacy Policy applies to visitors, customers, businesses, and other users of our website and services. It should be read together with our Terms of Service, Shipping Policy, and Return & Refund Policy. Capitalised terms that are not defined here (such as “Order”, “Custom Products”, “Artwork”, “Proof”, “Artwork Approval”, “Design Assistance”, and “Website”) have the meanings given in our Terms of Service.

In this Privacy Policy, “personal information” and “personal data” mean any information about an individual who can be identified by or in relation to that information. Where applicable law requires your consent or a separate notice for a particular activity, we will seek it separately, and nothing in this Privacy Policy replaces that requirement.

1. Privacy at a Glance

This summary is for convenience. The full policy below governs.

  • We collect only the information we reasonably need to quote, produce, deliver, and support your Orders and to run our Website.
  • Your Artwork, Proofs, and design materials are used to fulfil your Order. We do not publicly display identifiable customer Artwork or completed products without your prior express permission.
  • We do not store complete credit card, debit card, or other sensitive payment credentials. Online payments are handled by third-party payment service providers.
  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We share information only with the service providers and other recipients described in Section 9.
  • You can ask to access, correct, update, or erase your information, withdraw consent, or make a complaint using the details in Section 17.

2. Who We Are

FZN Printing Co. owns and operates the Website and determines why and how personal information is processed in connection with it and your Orders. For the purposes of applicable data protection law, we act as the data fiduciary for that information. Our contact and grievance details are in Section 17.

If you place an Order on behalf of a business or organisation, this Privacy Policy applies to the personal information of the individuals involved, such as you, your colleagues, and the people named in your Artwork.

3. Personal Information We Collect

3.1 Information you give us

  • Contact and identity details: your name, business or organisation name, email address, telephone number, and WhatsApp number.
  • Billing and delivery details: billing and shipping addresses, recipient names and contact details, and, where you request a GST invoice, your GSTIN and registered business details.
  • Order details: the products, specifications, quantities, materials, and finishes you select, quotations, order history, and related correspondence.
  • Artwork and design materials: text, names, job titles, logos, images, brand colours, QR codes, barcodes, and other content you upload, send, or approve (see Section 4).
  • Proofs and approvals: your comments, revision requests, and Artwork Approval confirmations, together with the date, time, and channel through which they were given.
  • Support and claims: messages, call details, and photographs of products or packaging that you share when you make an enquiry, complaint, or claim.
  • Preferences: your marketing choices, communication preferences, and feedback.

3.2 Information collected automatically

When you use our Website, we and our service providers may automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, device type, browser type and version, operating system, referring pages, pages and products viewed, date and time of visits, approximate location derived from your IP address, and cookie or similar identifiers. This may include information generated by Shopify when you browse, add items to a cart, or check out.

3.3 Information from other sources

We may receive information about you from:

  • payment service providers, such as payment status, transaction reference, payment method, and a masked card number, but not your full card details;
  • courier and logistics partners, such as tracking and delivery status updates;
  • Shopify and other technology providers that help us operate the Website; and
  • a business colleague or other person who places an Order or shares your details with us on your behalf.

3.4 Information we ask you not to send

Please do not send us information we do not need, such as government identification numbers (for example Aadhaar, PAN, or passport numbers), bank or card details, health information, passwords, or one-time passwords. If such information is intended to appear on a printed product, please tell us so that we can handle it appropriately. We will never ask you to share card numbers, PINs, passwords, or one-time passwords by email or WhatsApp.

4. Artwork and Information About Other People

Many Custom Products contain personal information, such as names, job titles, telephone numbers, email addresses, social media handles, and photographs of you or of other people, for example employees, clients, event guests, or family members.

If you give us personal information about another individual, you confirm that you are entitled to do so and that you have given any notice and obtained any consent that applicable law requires for that information to appear on the product and for us to process it to fulfil your Order. This is in addition to the rights and permissions you confirm under Section 6.4 of our Terms of Service.

We process personal information contained in your Artwork only as needed to prepare Proofs, provide Design Assistance, manufacture and deliver your Order, and handle related support and claims. We do not use it for our own marketing or for unrelated purposes. We do not publicly display identifiable customer Artwork or completed products for our portfolio, marketing, or social media unless you have given us prior express permission, as set out in Section 16.3 of our Terms of Service.

If you give us personal information about a child (for example, for a school event or a name label), you confirm that you are the child’s parent or lawful guardian, or that you have the authority and any required parental or guardian consent to share that information with us.

If someone contacts us about their personal information appearing in an Order they did not place, we may contact you, pause or refuse the Order, or take other steps permitted by our Terms of Service and applicable law.

5. How We Use Personal Information

We use personal information for the following purposes:

  • Order processing: to review, accept, confirm, produce, and deliver Orders, to prepare Proofs, to obtain Artwork Approval, and to provide Design Assistance.
  • Payments and invoicing: to confirm payments, issue invoices (including GST invoices), process refunds, and maintain accounting and tax records.
  • Delivery: to arrange shipping with courier and logistics partners, verify delivery details, and provide tracking and delivery updates.
  • Customer support: to respond to enquiries, and to handle cancellations, returns, refunds, claims, and complaints.
  • Order communications: to send the transactional messages described in Section 7.
  • Security and fraud prevention: to verify information, detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorised access, and enforce our Terms of Service.
  • Website operation and improvement: to operate and maintain the Website, understand how it is used, fix problems, and improve our products, services, and customer experience.
  • Marketing: to send you offers, updates, and promotions where applicable law permits and, where required, with your consent (see Section 7).
  • Legal and compliance: to meet tax, accounting, consumer protection, and other legal obligations, respond to lawful requests from authorities, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

We will not use your personal information for a purpose that is materially different from those above without telling you and, where the law requires, obtaining your consent.

6. Legal Basis and Consent

We process personal information on the basis of your consent or for other legitimate uses that applicable law allows.

  • Consent: for example, for marketing messages and for cookies or similar technologies that are not strictly necessary for the Website to function. Where we ask for consent, we will explain what personal information we need and why, how you can withdraw consent, and how you can complain. You may ask for this information in English or in any language listed in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution of India.
  • Legitimate uses: for example, where you voluntarily give us personal information for a specific purpose, such as requesting a quote or placing an Order, and have not told us that you do not consent to its use for that purpose; and where we need to process information to comply with a legal obligation or a court or regulatory order.

You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us using the details in Section 17. Withdrawal is as easy as giving consent. It does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew. If you withdraw consent for something that is necessary to fulfil an Order, we may be unable to continue with that Order, and the consequences are addressed under our Terms of Service and Return & Refund Policy.

7. Order Communications and Marketing

7.1 Order-related (transactional) communications

We communicate with you about your Orders through the email address, telephone number, WhatsApp account, Shopify order notifications, or other contact method that you provide or agree to use. These messages may include order acknowledgements, requests for information, Proofs, Artwork Approval requests, payment notices, dispatch updates, and delivery updates.

These messages are necessary to complete your Order. If you prefer a particular channel, tell us and we will use reasonable efforts to accommodate it, but we may be unable to progress an Order if we have no way to obtain required information or Artwork Approval.

As described in Section 4.6 of our Terms of Service, we may rely on your clear confirmation of Artwork Approval through the channel specified for your Order and keep that confirmation with the Order record.

Where we communicate through WhatsApp, your messages are also processed by WhatsApp and its operator under their own terms and privacy policy.

7.2 Marketing communications

We send marketing communications only in accordance with applicable law and any required consent or opt-out choices. You can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email, replying with a stop instruction where offered, or contacting us. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional messages about an active Order.

8. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our Website uses cookies and similar technologies, which are small files or identifiers stored on your device. We use them for:

  • Essential purposes, such as keeping items in your cart, completing checkout, maintaining security, and remembering basic settings. These are necessary for the Website to work.
  • Analytics, to understand how visitors use the Website so that we can improve it.
  • Advertising and marketing, to measure the performance of our campaigns and show relevant advertising, where we use them.

Where required, we will ask for your consent before using non-essential cookies. You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings, although blocking essential cookies may affect how the Website works.

9. How We Share Personal Information

We share personal information only as needed for the purposes in Section 5, and we require service providers that process personal information for us to protect it and use it only for the services they provide to us. We may share it with:

  • Platform and technology providers: Shopify and our hosting, website, email, messaging, WhatsApp, file storage, and analytics providers.
  • Payment service providers, such as Razorpay, to process payments and refunds.
  • Courier and logistics partners, who receive recipient names, delivery addresses, and contact numbers to deliver your Order.
  • Production and finishing partners, where we use them to manufacture or finish your Order.
  • Professional advisers, accountants, auditors, and insurers, where reasonably necessary for our business and legal compliance.
  • Government, regulatory, and law enforcement authorities, courts, and other parties where we are required or permitted by law to disclose information, or where necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
  • A successor or acquirer, if our business or its assets are merged, sold, or restructured, in which case this Privacy Policy will continue to apply to your information unless you are told otherwise.
  • Other third parties, where you have asked us to or have given your consent.

We do not sell your personal information.

10. Transfers Outside India

Some of our service providers, such as platform, cloud, email, and messaging providers, may store or process personal information on servers located outside India. We transfer personal information outside India only as permitted by applicable law and take reasonable steps to ensure that it remains protected.

11. How Long We Keep Personal Information

We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes in Section 5, or for as long as the law requires. In general:

  • Order, invoice, and payment records are kept for the period required by tax, GST, accounting, and other applicable law.
  • Artwork, Proofs, and Artwork Approval records are kept after delivery for 12 months so that we can handle reprints, support, and claims, and are then deleted or anonymised, unless a longer period is needed for legal, accounting, operational, or backup purposes, as described in Section 6.3 of our Terms of Service.
  • Enquiries and support correspondence are kept for 12 months.
  • Marketing contact details are kept until you withdraw consent or unsubscribe, or for 12 months of inactivity.
  • Website and analytics data are kept for the lifetime of the relevant cookie or for the period set by the relevant provider.
  • Backup copies are overwritten or deleted on a regular cycle.

When personal information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it. We may keep it for longer where necessary to comply with a legal obligation, resolve a dispute, or establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim.

12. Security and Data Breaches

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, and disclosure. These include access controls, secure hosting and payment providers, and limiting access to personal information to people who need it for their work. As noted in Section 5.5 of our Terms of Service, we do not store complete card or other sensitive payment credentials on our own systems.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please protect your own devices, accounts, and communication channels.

If a personal data breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as required by applicable law.

13. Your Rights and Choices

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Access: obtain a summary of the personal information we process about you, the processing activities involved, and the other parties with whom we have shared it.
  • Correction and updating: ask us to correct inaccurate or misleading information, complete incomplete information, and update your information.
  • Erasure: ask us to erase your personal information, unless we need to keep it for the purpose it was collected or to comply with the law.
  • Withdraw consent: withdraw any consent you have given, as described in Section 6.
  • Grievance redressal: have your questions and complaints about our handling of your personal information addressed, as described in Section 17.
  • Nominate: nominate another individual to exercise your rights if you die or become unable to do so.

To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 17, quoting your name, contact details, and, where relevant, your Order number. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and aim to do so within 30 days.

Some requests may be limited by the stage of an Order or by legal requirements. For example, we may not be able to change delivery or Artwork details once production has begun, as described in Sections 7.4 and 13 of our Terms of Service, and we cannot erase invoice and tax records that we are legally required to keep. We will explain the reason if we cannot fully act on a request.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India in accordance with applicable law. We encourage you to contact us first so that we can try to resolve your concern.

14. Your Responsibilities

To help us protect your information and the information of others, we ask that you:

  • provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information, and do not withhold material information or impersonate another person;
  • comply with applicable law when you give us personal information about others, as described in Section 4;
  • not make false or frivolous complaints or grievances; and
  • keep your own contact details current, as set out in Section 3 of our Terms of Service.

15. Children

Our Website and services are intended for people who are 18 years or older and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children, and we do not track or target children for advertising. If we learn that we have collected a child’s personal information without the required parental or guardian consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete it or obtain that consent. Section 4 explains what applies when Artwork includes a child’s personal information.

16. Third-Party Websites and Services

Our Website and communications may link to or rely on third-party websites and services, such as payment gateways, couriers, social media platforms, and messaging services. These third parties have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their independent privacy practices. Please review their policies before giving them your information.

18. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, disputes relating to it are subject to Section 24 of our Terms of Service. Nothing in this Privacy Policy or the Terms of Service limits any right you have under applicable data protection law, including the right to approach the Data Protection Board of India.
